RErooted is RE-purposed, RE-viewed, RE-designed, and RE-incarnated found object artwork. Items include wearable art and home decor pieces. RErooted was born from my passion to create, upcycle, repurpose, and share my individuality and creativity with others. Each piece is handmade with repurposed elements such as instrument strings, vintage bottles, newspapers, buttons, gemstones etc, which merged to create unique forms of self-expression. My goal is to reduce waste and help others appreciate and re-envision the potential of that which is otherwise discarded.
About the artist
Hello there! My name is Tasha and I am the face behind RErooted. I have been a creative person from the time I was very young and find solace in creating, making, and helping the environment.
I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist by day and work with children with special needs. I live with my spouse, our dog, and 2 cats in our amazing 120 year old home in Rochester, NY. Creativity and upcycling is a part of my everyday life as I strive to live more consciously and increase my awareness of our impact on the world.
When I'm not creating, you can often find me in our gardens where we cultivate many varieties of flowers, herbs, and vegetables.
Thank you for visiting my page and I hope you find something RErooted that suits you!
